Jumeirah Port Soller Hotel & Spa Port de Soller

An experience to remeber

Jumeirah Port Soller Hotel & Spa Port de Soller

▪️Location

The port and its sandy beaches, restaurants, and gift shops can be reached on foot in 20 minutes, although the hotel offers a regular shuttle bus service. From the port, it’s a 25-minute ride on the historic tram to Sóller town, with its botanical gardens and the Balearic Museum of Natural Sciences. The hour-long train journey through the mountains to Palma is highly recommended.

As a Unesco World Heritage site, the Tramuntana range is ideal for hiking, cycling and bird watching. The nearby village of Deià, once the home of poet Robert Graves, is a must-visit. Palma airport is 21 miles from the hotel, and the journey takes about 40 minutes.

▪️Style and Character

The hotel’s 11 low-rise modern white structures have been sympathetically absorbed into the hillside. Entering the lobby, visitors are often awed by the snail-shaped chandelier of white lights hanging in the lofty atrium, and the plethora of sculptures and paintings curated by Gallery Red. There are 400 artworks dotted around the hotel, with noteworthy pieces in the lobby by local Sóller artist Toni Garau, and Malaga-born Federico Miró.

▪️Service and Facilities

Guests are offered cool flannels and freshly squeezed orange juice at check-in. Hotel facilities include bike rental and storage, as well as excursions such as private art visits, sunset boat rides, dancing and drawing workshops, wine tours, and hiking trips in the Tramuntana mountains. The lobby shop sells local gifts and travel essentials.

The hotel’s Talise Spa occupies a two-story building on the leafy grounds and comprises 10 treatment rooms, a well-equipped gym, and an open-air heated hydropool overlooking the mountains. There are two hammams, a salt steam bath, ice fountain, relaxation room and large sauna. Signature treatments include the Crystalus Body Massage, which uses Australian healing stones and crystals. There are two further pools: an infinity for adults and children over 12 years old, and Sa Talaia, a family pool. The hotel offers a valet parking service.

▪️Rooms

There are 81 generously proportioned rooms and 40 suites, including the private Mar Blau villa, which has its own pool. All rooms offer views of the sea or mountains from their terraces. A gift basket of local olive oil and sea salt is included, while those staying in Signature or Junior suites receive two handcrafted pairs of shoes made by Carmina, a renowned island shoemaker. All rooms are decorated in cream, beige and stone, and include a mahogany desk, comfy armchairs, well-stocked minibar, and Nespresso machine and kettle.

There is real attention to detail, with mini honey pots offered for hot beverages, and three types of clothes hangers provided, including ones for delicate fabrics. The large marble bathrooms with Natura Bissé toiletries have a walk-in rain shower, bath and double basins, and plenty of fluffy white towels.
