The Spa
The Florence spa features one-of-a-kind treatments, ensuring that its guests keep coming back for more. Some treatments take inspiration from its garden surroundings, like the Iris Sensations, an iris powder scrub, a rejuvenating arnica body wrap and a stress-busting massage.
* Teens have their own slate of services, including the Lady-to-Be (a gentle face and body scrub, eyebrow styling, face mask, and hand and feet wraps) and Gentlemen-to-Be (body scrub, massage, and facial) spa experiences.
* Young children can also enjoy some pampering with the Chocolate Hug (a chocolate massage), Fruit Spa Experience (body massage and hydrating mask with a fruit scent), and Full-Time Mom, where mother and child can have a spa day in a private suite.
* Beauty fiends will covet the spa’s bespoke line from Officina Profumo-Farmaceutica di Santa Maria Novella. The natural products were made using methods that date back to the Florentine company’s 13th-century origins — and yes, they are available at the spa shop.
* The luxury spa has 10 treatment rooms, but pairs will want to book the Couple’s Suite. Housed in a separate building, the suite comes with two treatment tables, a lounge area with a fireplace, a luxe sandstone bath, and vistas of a private garden.
* No matter which room you’re in, arrive early to take a dip in the pool or head inside the spa to do the rounds in the whirlpool, eucalyptus steam bath, Finnish sauna, ice fountain and lemon-scented cold rain shower, or the minty cold mist jet spray.
* You’ll notice colorful LED lights in the wet area facilities, which the spa added for some chromotherapy.
* Plan to linger in the relaxation room, where you can lounge in white-and-gold day beds under a soft, cozy throw and nosh on cookies and lemon water before your treatment.
* The Spa at Four Seasons Hotel Firenze sits near the separate gym, an airy, two-story space filled with Technogym machines outfitted with their own TV screens as well as strength-training equipment.
The Treatments
* During a La Vie en Rose service, therapists don silk gloves to give you a reenergizing body scrub and then ahead an upper-body massage with delicate rose oil.
* The spa draws on the Tuscan countryside for Chianti Relax, a massage that employs a fragrant oil infused with grape extracts, and the Tuscan cypress body scrub, in which the Tuscan cypress nut simultaneously exfoliates and hydrates your skin.
* For indulgent services try the Gold Perfection, a luxurious facial that includes a 24-karat gold mask that’s removed using natural magnetism. Afterward, your skin is massaged with precious citrine to spur lymphatic drainage.
* In Drops of Light, warm oil from a lit-up candle is poured onto your skin as the therapist massages away your tension.
