One of the best of any Costes Brothers eatery, L’Avenue is an 8th mainstay located opposite Christian Dior in a meticulous brassiere decorated by Jacques Garcia and visited by virtually celebrities and VIP from Kanye West to Lee Radziwill. A black marque hangs over a starry terrace trimmed in white fabric drapes and high-wattage clientele in winter as well as summer. Inside, a dark and sexy space is layered in heavy red velvet, Murano chandeliers, and a seductive lounge space that perk with life from day till very late at night.
A traditional brasserie menu with trendy flair begins with a morning breakfast menu of egg, pastry, and smoked fish specialties. Lunch and dinner are a more elaborate affair with homemade foie grass served with toast pints, a full raw bar, and a delectable selection of supermodel-friendly salads. The main course touches on land and sea with classic steak frites, locally-caught trout and traditional chicken all served till the wee hours of the morning complete with midnight DJs and 2 am star sightings.
