Style and Character
The hotel’s 20 or so olive-colored geometric blocks (designed to blend in with the area’s indigenous olive trees) are arranged in tiers down a wooded hillside, covering nearly 150 acres, towards two curved white sandy beaches. Interiors by the Italian architect and furniture designer Antonio Citterio, who also orchestrated the Mandarin Oriental Milan, are sleek and luxurious, with vast tracts of expensive teak and muted marble, interspersed with modern artwork.
Service and Facilities
The hotel has virtually the same number of friendly, efficient staff as guests, and is a proper luxury cocoon. Its enormous three-story spa is one of the best in the Turkish Med, with treatment rooms as big as small flats and a bewildering array of facilities. There’s also a watersports center, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, private curtained beach cabanas, a pilates and yoga studio, five designer shops, and an outlet of Turkish designer department store Brandroom. A helicopter landing pad is available should you need it and a fleet of buggies is available to ferry guests around the grounds.
Rooms
The hotel has 132 rooms and suites, 62 of them in the main building. Nearly all of them feature a sea view (or partial sea view), and the rest come with a garden view. Décor is sleek and simple and even the lowest category rooms are enormous and have high ceilings, walk-in wardrobes, Bang & Olufsen televisions, and tall sliding teak panels separating the bedroom from the bathroom, where there’s a freestanding porcelain oval-shaped tub.
Leisure Activities
Beach
Blue Beach is the hotel’s main private beach. Overlooking the calm Aegean Sea, the beach enjoys a stunning setting enhanced by luxurious touches such as private cabanas and a Beach Bar serving an array of light dishes such as salads, burgers, sushi, and sashimi.
Swimming pools
Dotted around the resort have four outdoor swimming pools of varying sizes, including a designated children’s pool. In addition, we have an indoor pool located in the spa.
Sports
Excellent Water Sports center overlooking Paradise Bay offers activities including scuba diving, parasailing, fishing, wakeboarding, stand-up paddleboarding, and jet ski rental.
The hotel has tennis and basketball courts available to use as well as a jogging path circling Paradise Bay. Also offer tennis lessons, yoga classes, Pilates sessions, and rounds of golf at nearby Championship golf courses.
Shopping and tours
Luxury tours of the surrounding coastline can be arranged in either a helicopter or a traditional Turkish gullet. Our popular gullet tour can be organized as a day trip including lunch and lasting for approximately 8 hours. For guests interested in shopping, we have a luxury shopping arcade lying adjacent to the lobby. Featuring a variety of boutiques, our Resort Store hosts a curated selection of world-known luxury brands.
There are eight restaurants: choose Assaggio (on an expansive decked platform overlooking the sea) for classic Italian dishes such as beef carpaccio with truffle oil, and seared tuna and eggplant; Bodrum Balikçisi for fish and seafood; Kuro-chan by Ioki for a menu created by ex-Nobu superchef Scott Hallsworth; Sofra for traditional Turkish and Mediterranean cuisine; Blue Beach Club & Bar and Pool Bar & Restaurant for cocktails and daytime snacks; the Mandarin Bar, hung with Chinese lanterns, for a pre-dinner drink; or the cake shop for handmade cakes and pastries.
Extensive buffet breakfasts – waffles and pancakes, a bread ‘island’ serving freshly baked breads and lahmacun (Turkish pizza), organic health drinks and a huge array of cooked dishes – are served in Sofra.
